We're recruiting on behalf of a leading renewable energy company for an Electrician to join the Operations & Maintenance team at a utility-scale solar farm near Emerald,

This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical renewable energy infrastructure while developing your skills across HV systems, inverters, transformers, SCADA and utility-scale electrical equipment.

About the Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of a large-scale solar farm.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing preventative, corrective and reactive electrical maintenance
• Inspecting, testing and repairing electrical systems and equipment
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
• Installing and commissioning new electrical equipment
• Supporting the ongoing performance of HV and LV electrical infrastructure
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records using CMMS software
• Developing and following maintenance procedures and safety documentation
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians
• Working collaboratively with the wider Operations & Maintenance team
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Responding to breakdowns and emergency maintenance when required

About You To be successful, you'll have:

• Current QLD Electrical Licence
• Current Driver's Licence
• Current First Aid, CPR & Low Voltage Rescue (LVR)
• Strong experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience using maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
