About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join the operations and maintenance team at the Glenellen Solar Farm. This is a hands-on role working across key electrical infrastructure, supporting the safe and efficient operation of a large-scale energy project.

You will work closely with engineering, asset management, and a 24/7 control room to deliver high-quality maintenance and fault response.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electrical infrastructure including transformers, switchgear, cabling, and substations (BOP plant)
• Maintenance and fault finding on inverters and associated systems
• Monitor and respond to alarms via SCADA systems
• Plan and execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
• Support subcontractors and assist with site coordination, inductions, and pre-start meetings
• Maintain accurate records using CMMS and internal systems
• Ensure strict adherence to WHS policies and procedures

About You

• Electrical Licence (unrestricted)
• HV Switching qualification (essential)
• Strong experience in maintenance, fault finding, and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Experience with SCADA / data communications (desirable)
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work both independently and in a team
• Willingness to work in a regional / site-based environment
