Electrician

About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Electrician to operate and maintain key components across a Battery Energy Storage (BESS) site. You’ll be part of a dynamic site team, supported by a 24/7 control room, working closely with engineering and asset management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain BOP plant (transformers, switchgear, cables, substations) and BESS monitoring systems
• Maintain inverters and associated electrical equipment
• Operate and maintain back-up power systems (generator/UPS)
• Monitor SCADA systems and respond promptly to alarms, planning and executing necessary repairs
• Manage subcontractors and support daily site operations, including inductions and pre-start meetings
• Plan and schedule annual maintenance tasks using CMMS and Maintenance Procedures (MP)
• Adhere to WHS policies, Emergency Response Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Document all work accurately and timely using supplied frameworks

About You:

• Safety-focused with a strong commitment to WHS
• Reliable, organized, and team-oriented with a can-do attitude
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Proficient with computers and data communications (SCADA, dataloggers, routers)
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• Willing to travel to other projects if required

Essential Requirements:

• Current Electrical License
• HV Switching qualification
• Construction White Card
• Current Driver’s License
• Valid First Aid (CPR) & Low Voltage (LV) Rescue
• Australian Work Rights
