We are currently seeking a qualified Electrician to support the ongoing operations and maintenance of Wandoan Solar Farm, a large-scale solar energy facility in Queensland.
Working as part of an experienced on-site team, you will be responsible for conducting electrical maintenance, supporting HV and MV operations, and assisting in the coordination of subcontractors and other personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of solar PV systems and experience in industrial or utility-scale electrical environments.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Maintenance
- Conduct preventative and corrective electrical maintenance activities
- Assist inspection checklists and maintenance documentation
- Monitor SCADA systems for faults, alarms, and events
- Analyse performance data to identify optimisation opportunities and minimise downtime
- Assist with the preparation of reports, logs, and compliance documentation
- Participate in or oversee HV switching activities in line with training and competencies
- Support maintenance and inspection of MV and HV assets in accordance with site requirements
- Current QLD Electrical Licence
- Experience with solar PV systems or industrial electrical systems
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, compliance, and maintenance best practices
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, plans, and technical documentation
- Familiarity with SCADA monitoring and basic fault diagnostics
