Position Overview

As an Electrician you are an individual who carries out electrical work to in line with the client, industry and Australian Standards. You will be expected to contribute to internal processes of continual improvement and provide direction and guidance to junior staff. Whilst your role may vary, you are typically tasked with execution of electrical works, safety measures, risk management and quality control.

Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • General electrical works, assembly, wiring, testing and fault finding on electrical systems
  • Completing ITRs (electrical test sheets)
  • Working form electrical drawings
  • Ensuring you have the correct resources to perform your tasks
  • Design reviews and drawing mark-ups
  • Supervising junior staff members and apprentices
  • Responsible for compliance with HSE policies, ensuring workplace compliance, and reporting hazards and near misses
  • Foster a workforce culture of excellence, innovation, honesty and teamwork
Qualifications / Experience / Skills Required
Key experience, qualifications and skills for this role include:
  • Current A Grade Western Australian Electrical Workers Licence
  • Certificate III Instrumentation (preferred)
  • 3+ years commissioning experience across a variety of power systems
  • Working at Heights
  • High Risk Work License - EWP
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and an ability to solve problems quickly
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, conflict resolution skills and confidence dealing with a wide range of people, from tradespeople to customers/stakeholders and supervisors
  • Understanding of HSE requirements
